I’m going to keep this simple. These are good. Real good. Easy and oh-so-tasty. And they’re portable too, so fun to share.
They kinda remind me of the classic cheesecake brownie, very rich and dense with a cream cheese contrast, but they’re a lot cuter, don’t you agree? Good stuff.
Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
Yields 1 dozen sandwiches (Calorie estimate: 225/sandwich)
Ingredients:
1 (18.25 ounce) box devil’s food cake mix
2 eggs
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
cream cheese frosting (any old recipe will do, but if you need one try this)
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Blend the above ingredients together with a pastry blender until mixed.
Roll in balls about the size of a quarter and place on ungreased baking sheets. Make an even number of balls.
Bake for 10 minutes. Let cookies stand on cookie sheet for 5-6 minutes before removing them to cooling rack. After cookies have cooled, put cream cheese frosting between two cookies, putting bottom sides together.

I’m a fan of simple and these look pretty easy to make yet they look super yummy. I’ll be making these very soon!
So glad to hear it! If you really need a sugar fix quick you can even use store bought frosting, how’s that for simple!?
Hello =) i recently had a problem with an Etsy seller using my photos to sell her product claiming they were “her own”, i then found 19 more bloggers she had stolen from and now with new listings (im keeping watch) she has taken your photo!

If she has used it without permission PLEASE do something about it, as she needs to stop stealing from others to sdvertise her baking business!
